Fire in Nairit Chemicals Plant Localized after 15 Hours
The fire that burst out in the Armenian chemicals plant Nairit on early December 24 was localized at 11.30 p.m. According to Assistant Director of the Rescue Service at the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration Nikolay Grigoryan said 11 fire brigades were engaged in extinguishing. No one was killed or injured and there is no danger for people's health. The rescuers said the fire was of the third degree of complexity

The fire burst out on December 24 morning. Two reservoirs with 300 tons of ethanol were burning. The chemicals giant did not suffer material losses. A substance that is eliminated by burning in technological conditions has burnt by itself. No criminal case was initiated since the substance can ignite spontaneously if kept for a long time, reports IA Regnum.
