AZERI POLITICIANS AFRAID OF ESTABLISHMENT OF TURKISH NEW GOVERNMENT-ARMENIA RELATIONS
"If the new government of Turkey decides to establish the relations with Armenia, it will have to resign, as "Turks cannot trust a government that is friendly with Armenians". Azeri "People's Front" party chair Zelimhan Mamedli has stated that in his interview with "525" Baku newspaper. According to him, "there are quite pragmatic politicians" among the members of "Justice and Progress" party that has won at the parliamentary elections in Turkey. "Musavat" party executive committee member Khikmet Gajizade has also considered groundless the statement on possible opening of the borders with Armenia by the new Turkish government, since "Armenia conducts anti-Turkish policy". According to him, "coming of the new forces to the power in Turkey will have impact on the atmosphere in the region and the Azeri politicians express worries regarding that, but that is improbable that Turkey establish cooperation with Armenia that is harmful to Azerbaijan".
