PJ Harvey releases new track from “Hope Six Demolition Project” (video)

PanARMENIAN.Net - After teasing new music via a video preview of her forthcoming album, The Hope Six Demolition Project, PJ Harvey has revealed the first full-length track, Gigwise said.

Harvey's ninth album was recorded at Somerset House in London back in January, and members of the public were able to watch the entire recording process from behind one-way glass.

On 21 January, she revealed that the album is called The Hope Six Demolition Project, and will be released on 15 April. The news was accompanied by a teaser trailer, which was put together by Seamus Murphy, and features new tracks 'The Community Of Hope' and 'The Wheel', as well as footage of Harvey's public recording sessions.

Now, Harvey has revealed the stomping full length version of 'The Wheel'.

Speaking of the album, Harvey said, “When I’m writing a song I visualise the entire scene. I can see the colours, I can tell the time of day, I can sense the mood, I can see the light changing, the shadows moving, everything in that picture.

"Gathering information from secondary sources felt too far removed for what I was trying to write about. I wanted to smell the air, feel the soil and meet the people of the countries I was fascinated with."
