Turkey ready to help Azerbaijan bolster defense sector: envoy

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ankara is ready to support Baku in all areas, including the defense sector, Turkey’s ambassador to Azerbaijan told reporters on Friday, January 29, APA reports.

“Azerbaijan is capable of strengthening its defense sector, with Turkey ready to support its ally,” Ismail Alper Coskun said. “Interested in resolving the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Turkey rules out the possibility of normalization of relations in the South Caucasus region unless the conflict is settled under the principle of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity.”

The ambassador, however, failed to comment on the refusal of some Turkish MPs to vote for the Karabakh resolution in PACE.
