TALKS ON RESUMING RAILWAY COMMUNICATION THROUGH ABKHAZIA BECAME MORE MODERATE
The negotiations on restoring railway communication through the territory of Abkhazia have acquired a more moderate character. Armenian President Robert Kocharian stated it when answering journalists' questions. In his words, the parties' positions on the issue were firmer in the past. Nevertheless, in Robert Kocharian's opinion, it is still early to speak of the time necessary for restoring railway traffic through the territory, as the problem is connected with the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict. "Armenia intends to raise the question and demand opening this very important transport corridor in the future," - the Armenian leader said.
