LG's G5 trumps the Samsung Galaxy S7 in benchmarking testFebruary 11, 2016 - 22:59 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - LG's G5 smartphone is set to go head to head with the Samsung Galaxy S7 on February 21 when both phones break cover at MWC 2016 - and a recent benchmarking test has hinted at how they will compare, Digital Spy report. A listing on Geekbench reveals that the G5 has a strong chance of becoming the ultimate Android smartphone, as one of its scores has the Samsung device outgunned. The handset, which packs a Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB of RAM, racked up a multi-core score of 5061, compared to the Galaxy S7's 4979. However, Sammy's new flagship trumped its rival in the single-core stakes with its score of 2282 versus the G5's 2248. Benchmarking test results don't always translate to real-world performance, but the scores certainly bode well for LG. The G5 will also pack an always-on display and is rumoured to include a metal body and removeable battery.
