Quake hits southern Greek city, damages homes February 16, 2016 - 07:40 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Authorities in southern Greece say dozens of homes suffered minor damage following an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.2. No injuries are reported, according to the Associated Press. The earthquake struck near the southern city of Pyrgos, about 185 miles (300 kilometers) southwest of Athens, at 9:53 pm (1953 GMT) on Monday, Feb 15, said the Athens Institute of Geodynamics. The quake also caused rock falls that affected several secondary roads, officials from the administrative region of Western Greece said. Earthquakes are common in Greece and neighboring Turkey. In 2023, the Azerbaijani government will increase the country’s defense budget by more than 1.1 billion manats ($650 million).
