J.J. Abrams-produced sci-fi thriller

PanARMENIAN.Net - A new trailer for upcoming J.J. Abrams-produced thriller "10 Cloverfield Lane" has been released, AceShowbiz reports. Arriving during "The Walking Dead" midseason premiere on Sunday, February 14, the trailer focuses on what happens after a young woman (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) wakes up in the basement of Howard Stambler (John Goodman) following a car accident.

The approximately 60-seconds trailer opens with Mary's character waking up on a bed in a basement with her leg being chained to the wall. As she tried to find signal for her cellphone, Howard entered the room. "What are you gonna do to me?" the woman asked Howard. He replies, "I'm going to keep you alive."

Howard tells the woman that she "was in an accident" and he "saved [her] life by bringing [here] here." He adds, "Everyone outside here is dead."

The woman then meets another man, played by John Gallagher Jr., who says his arm broke trying to "get in." There is someone outside scrawling a bloody "help" on the glass window.

Mary's character fears she has been abducted by Howard. She later decides to escape from the place while she doesn't know what may awaits her outside.

Produced by J.J. Abrams and Lindsey Weber, "10 Cloverfield Lane" is the directorial debut of Dan Trachtenberg. Written by Josh Campbell, Matt Stuecken and Damien Chazelle based on 2008's film "Cloverfield" by Drew Goddard, the thriller is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on March 11.
