16 People Detained in Azerbaijan Accused of Coup D'etat
As a result of actions carried out by the Ministry of National Security of Azerbaijan some 16 people have been detained, who are accused of organizing Coup D'etat, told AR MNS press officer Arif Babaev. He stressed that the court has granted permission to hold under arrest 15 of them. One more man has been arrested as a suspect.
The detained citizens are accused of a number of articles of the criminal code: 218 (creating a criminal group), 274 (parricide), 28, 278 (preparation for forceful seizure and keeping of the power), 228 (illegal storage of weapons), 204 (production and selling of counterfeit money and valuable securities).
