Armenia takes steps to boost robotics, engineering development

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's government will allocate some AMD 62.5 million from its reserve funds to secure payment for trainers of the Robotics and engineering laboratories program, implemented by the Union of Information Technology Enterprises. A corresponding decision was adopted Thursday, March 3.

The UITE is currently working to open robotics clubs and engineering laboratories in various settlements of Armenia to further boost the development of both branches in the country.

According to preliminary plans, 32 new clubs will start operating in May 2016, with another batch of 48 circles set to open in September, Tert.am reports.

Besides, donor companies plan to make some AMD 330 million investments for the purchase of necessary equipment and property, the teachers’ trainings, monitoring and the overall organization of activities.
