The possibility of conflicts in the Caucasus is still high but it will reduce with the improvement of economic situation in the region, Russian President Vladimir Putin told a news conference in Sochi. According to Putin, optimism grows. The conflict potential is still great but unfortunately the most problematic issues have not been resolved yet.

Putin assured that Russia will contribute to stabilization in the Caucasus. "We will work at it and do our utmost to settle problems," he said, reports RIA Novosti.
