During the first years of Army formation, thanks to unity, courageous devotion and military skills of professional officers and commanders, who had big experience from the Soviet Army, it overcome the difficulties imposed on the Armenian nation in the Artsakh war. One of the glorious pages in Artsakh battle was the liberation of Shoushi, the 15th anniversary of which, as a brilliant proof of the power and efficiency of the Armenian Army, we will mark as a national celebration this year. During the short period of following years the national army passed a great way of formation. Today we proudly can say that the Armenian Armed Forces are not only a security guarantee for Armenia and Artsakh, guarantee for our independent statehood, but also they proudly participate in international peacekeeping missions, accumulating necessary experience to withstand the challenges of modern world. Continuing to make efforts for the further development of our country, creating competitive ability economy, strengthening the statehood, we clearly realize it is an important precondition to conduct reforms in the Armed Forces in turning it into more efficient ant powerful army. I congratulate officers and commanders, soldiers and liberators, the whole nation with the anniversary, I wish lasting peace, power of spirit, national unity.
