LG adds selfie-centered mid-rangers to its smartphone lineup

LG appears set on flooding the market with mid-range alternatives to its flagship G5 smartphone, and two more have just arrived, Digital Spy said.

The K8 and the K5 join a new line of devices that deliver premium features in a budget-friendly package.

Only the K5 is coming to Europe, and its speciality will be selfies. It comes with a 5-megapixel rear snapper and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera with a Gesture Shot mode for enhanced portrait shots.

There's also a 5-inch display, a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and microSD support to ensure the 8GB of internal storage is less restrictive. Colour options are Gold, Silver and Titan.

The K8 and K5 will follow the K4, K7, and K10 to market in the coming weeks, with the LG G5 expected to follow in April.
