The Smiths bassist teams with Cranberries singer for new band (video) March 25, 2016 - 17:40 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Cranberries singer Dolores O'Riordan has formed a new band with former bassist of The Smiths Andy Rourke, NME reveals. The group D.A.R.K. comprises of O'Riordan, Rourke, plus New York-based DJ Olé Koretsky. They will release their debut album 'Science Agrees' on May 27, with new single 'Curvy' streaming online. Rourke, who served as bassist in The Smiths from 1982–1987, recently teamed up with James Franco for a Smiths-inspired album by the actor's band Daddy. O'Riordan recently made headlines after assaulting an air hostess and police officers whilst on a flight from New York to Ireland in November 2014. She avoided jail time after pleading guilty.
