HTC Vive comes with more parts than jigsaw puzzle

PanARMENIAN.Net - Nobody was expecting room-scale VR to be straightforward, but it looks like early HTC Vive adopters might need tech support just to unpack the thing, Digital Spy said.

The headset comes with no fewer than 20 separate parts, according to a diagram that was recently emailed to pre-order customers (via Phandroid).

These include two base stations, a mounting kit, a link box, a sync cable, the headset itself, and the bundled controller.

Rival headsets such as Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR have few parts in their boxes, but don't offer the same room-scale experience as the Vive.

The HTC Vive is now on sale with an eye-watering $980 asking price, with early adopters set to receive theirs on April 5.

That gives you almost a week to study the diagram and get your head around the setup, Digital Spy said.
