Kevin Bacon joins Mark Wahlberg in “Patriots Day”April 1, 2016 - 10:38 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Kevin Bacon has joined Mark Wahlberg in the Lionsgate and CBS Films’ movie, “Patriots Day”, TheWrap reports. John Goodman, J.K. Simmons, Michelle Monaghan, Jimmy O. Yang and James Colby have also been cast in the film. Directed by Peter Berg and produced by Scott Stuber, Wahlberg, Hutch Parker, Dylan Clark, Stephen Levinson, Dorothy Aufiero and Michael Radutzky, “Patriots Day” chronicles the events surrounding the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombing. Bacon will play Special Agent in Charge Richard DesLauriers of the FBI. “Richard DesLauriers worked tirelessly as one of the key figures in an impossibly sophisticated investigation and Kevin Bacon possesses the intelligence and empathy to portray him,” said Berg. CBS Films and Lionsgate are co-financing the movie, with the former handling production and marketing and the latter handling distribution. The film will open in Boston, New York and Los Angeles on Dec. 21.
