The first installment is only set to hit theaters this Friday, April 15 but talks are already underway to bring back the director and the scribe for the second film. As AceShowbiz reports citing THR, Jon Favreau is in negotiations to direct as well as produce while Justin Marks is expected to write the sequel's script. Brigham Taylor is also set to return as producer. Disney's take on the Rudyard Kipling classic tells the story of Mowgli, a man-cub who's been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan, who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat. The live-action movie already has a 100% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It has rolled out in several Asian and Latin America countries and opened at number one in all territories. There's another version of "Jungle Book" movie in development with Andy Serkis as director. Previously occupying October 6, 2017, Warner Bros.'
