HTC 10 lands as metal-bodied super snapper

This is quickly turning into the year of seriously impressive smartphone releases - and we've got another, as the HTC 10 has been officially unveiled, Digital Spy said.

Pairing a sleek, brushed metal body with a stunning 5.2-inch QHD display, the HTC 10 answers many of the shortcomings of its predecessor, the HTC One M9, Digital Spy said.

Chief amongst these fixes is the camera. A slow, unimpressive addition last time round, the HTC 10's camera is its standout feature, with the 12 UltraPixel snapper utilising optical image stabilisation, an f/1.8 lens and laser focus to offer seriously impressive snaps, even when the lights come down, Digital Spy said.

It's not a one trick handset though. Audio abilities have been boosted too, with Hi-Res playback supported by the BoomSound Hi-Fi speaker that builds a separate Tweeter and Woofer into the sleek, 9mm-thick frame.

Bringing the fight to the likes of the iPhone 6S and Samsung Galaxy S7, the handset also tinkers with Google's beloved Android OS, cutting out all duplicated apps and letting you customise the UI with secret, hidden apps.

Set to hit retailers early next month for an as-yet undisclosed fee, the HTC 10 features list is further bolstered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage - expandable via microSD.
