Michael Keaton builds McDonald's empire in “The Founder” trailer

PanARMENIAN.Net - The first trailer for true-story flick "The Founder" is released online. It gives a glimpse at Michael Keaton as McDonald's titan. He plays a salesman named Ray Kroc who turned a hamburger restaurant in Southern California into the most successful fast food operation in the world, AceShowbiz said.

In the movie due Stateside on August 5, Kroc met Mac and Dick McDonald. He was impressed by the brothers' speedy system of making the food and saw franchise potential. He maneuvered himself into a position to be able to pull the company from the brothers and create a billion-dollar empire.

It's the latest meaty role for Keaton after he starred in "Birdman" and "Spotlight." Both movies won Best Picture at the Academy Awards. On top of that, he received Best Actor nomination for his role in a faded superhero actor in the Alejandro G. Inarritu-directed film.
