A conference on preliminary planning of Cooperative Best Effort 2003 military exercises to be held within the framework of "Partnership for Peace" NATO program will take place in Yerevan November 12-14. As reported by the press service of the Armenian defense ministry, 65 representatives of 16 countries and NATO headquarters will participate in the forum. Organizational questions and the problem of securing the coming maneuvers in Armenia in 2003 will be discussed in the course of the conference. A preliminary scenario for the exercises, aiming at increasing the efficiency of interaction of light infantry forces in the course of multinational operation with participation of NATO member and partner states, will also be worked out.
