In Yerevan in "Ajapnyak" community will be opened a museum and a path to Armenian officer Gurgen Margaryan who was killed in Hungary. In this regard corresponding documents have already been presented to Yerevan City Administration. Currently the project is under discussion. According to the plan, a monument will be constructed in the path to Gurgen Margaryan, end every tree here will be named after every soldier who died in Karabakh war. "They all died in the struggle against our enemy, that's why we cannot separate them. I am sure we will not have problems since our initiative is just, stated president of "Gurgen Margaryan" NGO architect Vahagn Asadryan.

On February 19 of 2004 in Budapest Azeri officer Ramil Safarov hacked to death with an ax Armenian Army officer Gurgen Margaryan when he was sleeping. Both officers were attending course of English language in the framework of NATO program in Hungarian capital. The Hungarian court sentenced Ramil Safarov to life imprisonment without the right to pardon during first 30 years.
