It will follow her search to learn about the mother she never knew and to understand how the unauthorized harvesting of Henrietta's cancerous cells in 1951 led to unprecedented medical breakthroughs, changing countless lives and sparking debate over medical ethics. Winfrey teams up with "True Blood" creator Alan Ball to adapt Rebecca Skloot's nonfiction bestseller which took over a decade to complete and, when it finally hit the stand in 2010, it became a huge hit.
