Armenian wrestler to participate in Rio 2016 Olympics

PanARMENIAN.Net - World and European champion, Armenian free style wrestler Davit Safaryan will participate in the Rio 2016 Olympics.

The United World Wrestling (UWW) was to discuss the issue following positive results of doping tests of Ukrainian and Polish sportsmen who had previously qualified for the Games.

The UWW thus decided Safaryan should join the sporting event.

Also representing Armenia at Rio Olympics are Garnik Mnatsakanyan,Georgy Ketoyev,Levan Berianidze,Migran Arutyunyan,Arsen Julfalakyan,Maksim Manukyan and Artur Aleksanyan, among others.
