EURO 2008: Ukraine ready to host Armenian and Azeri teams

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) is aware of the latest talks. The EURO 2008 qualifying games between the Armenian and Azerbaijani national teams may be held in Donetsk, said FFU Spokesman Valery Nikonenko. "FFU President Grigory Surkis voiced such an offer during the meetings with representatives of the Football Associations of both states. Ukraine is ready to host the teams at a high level," he said. "If the UEFA instructs Ukraine to host the teams, you should have no doubt that any incidents will be excluded during the matches, which may be held in Donetsk or in Odessa" he added, reports azerisport.com.
