PanARMENIAN.Net - "Alien: Covenant" has released a new behind-the-scenes photo. In the picture, shared on the official Facebook of Alien Anthology, director Ridley Scott is seen gathering cast and crew for what appears to be a conversation regarding filming, AceShowbiz reports.

"Creator. Creation. #AlienCovenant," reads the caption of the snap which also offers a first look at Michael Fassbender's character David. An out-of-focus Michael's character looks different with a dark, buzz cut hair.

One commenter writes, "And David (Michael Fassbender) in the back ground! However... hair is different. Could he be playing 2 characters... David on the starship Covenant and David on the Alien planet? ?" Another one shares, "This is looking like it will be fantastic! Love that helmet, which has an Alien aesthetic."

"Alien: Covenant", set ten years after "Prometheus", will follow a colony ship bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy. The crew discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world - whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.

Earlier this year, Michael teased that there would be plenty of "aliens coming out of people" along with "fantastic" sets. "You have this futuristic world where people are eating noodles, because that seems to be the cheaper food and something that will fill you up," he said. "But it's also something that harks back to the past. The weaving of those two things-past and future-together makes for an interesting world that we can aspire to, but also recognize something in it."

"Alien: Covenant", also starring Danny McBride, Demian Bichir, Jussie Smollett, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz and Callie Hernandez, is coming to U.S. theaters on August 4, 2017. Katherine Waterston is added to the cast as Daniels, who reportedly will be Ellen Ripley's (Sigourney Weaver) mother.
