Gotham Chopra and Carla Hacken (“Hell or High Water”) are producing. Radnor is directing from a script by Christopher Kyle and Kevin J. Walsh in a story focused on a man who must fight to convince the love of his life that they are soul mates when he ends up in a parallel universe where she has no idea who he is. Radnor is not expected to star in “The Leaves.” It’s the third feature directing job for him, six years after he made his feature directorial and screenwriting debut with the 2010’s “Happythankyoumoreplease.” The comedy-drama won the Sundance Film Festival Audience Award and was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize. Radnor also directed and starred in 2012’s “Liberal Arts” opposite Elizabeth Olsen. The comedy-drama also premiered at Sundance. Radnor starred for nine seasons as the lead character on the CBS sitcom “How I Met Your Mother” and appeared on PBS’ Civil War drama “Mercy Street” this year.
