Official theme song for 2016 Rio Olympics released

PanARMENIAN.Net - The official theme song for the 2016 Rio Olympics has been released, NME reports.

The song, ’Alma e Coração’ (Soul and Heart), performed by samba star Thiaquinho and rapper Projota, was unveiled on Sunday (July 3).

In keeping with the Olympic spirit, the song is a motivational anthem with lines like “Make it happen, fight and win / I keep the faith to walk, and so I go,” according to a translation on YouTube.

A music video for ’Alma e Coração’ features both Thiaquinho and Promote performing the theme song on an athletic track together with shots of four young Brazilian athletes training.

The 2016 Olympics will take place in Rio from 5 to 21 August 2016.

In case you're wondering, Muse’s song ‘Survival’ was chosen as the official theme song for the 2012 Olympics, held in London, NME said.
