GoPro footage survives a year on the ocean floorJuly 12, 2016 - 10:55 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Someone found a GoPro while fishing and they have the awesome footage to prove it, Digital Spy reports. The someone in question - YouTuber Francis Darracott - was off the coast of England near Poole when he pulled the gadget from the bottom of the sea. After almost a year in the water (judging by the timestamps on the video), the camera's waterproof housing had failed, but the recorded video was still retrievable. "The Go Pro was ruined," said Darracott. " Salt water had corroded many of the components. However...the SD card was intact!!" This meant that roughly three minutes of rather interesting ocean floor footage were recorded, courtesy of whoever it was that lost the camera in the first place. Darracott wants to find the original owner of the camera to return the footage, although a hint in the video comments suggests that may have already happened, Digital Spy said.
