The first trailer of the musical film "La La Land" has arrived for viewing pleasure. Ryan Gosling sings, kisses and dances with Emma Stone. He whistles and croons a slow jam called "City of Stars" which has been made available for download, AceShowbiz reports.

Gosling plays a dedicated jazz musician named Sebastian and Stone portrays an aspiring actress named Mia. Both are struggling to make ends meet in Los Angeles. They cross paths and embark on a romantic relationship while exploring the joy and pain of pursuing their dreams.

Directed by Damien Chazelle, the mastermind behind "Whiplash", the original musical is due for limited release December 9 before opening wide on December 16 in the U.S. John Legend and Finn Wittrock are among the supporting cast members.
