Founding Parliament member Alec Yenikomshian released

PanARMENIAN.Net - Within the scope of the investigation of the criminal case initiated on the seizure of the patrol police regiment in Yerevan on July 17 and illegal procurement of weapons with intention for organizing a criminal group attack, on August 8, 2016 the prosecutor in charge decided to release the Founding Parliament movement member Ara Alexander Kumshoyan (Alec Yenikomshian) from custody, Panorama.am reports.

According to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the decision was sent to the investigative agency and the detention facility for the immediate release of the detainee.

Earlier, the family of the national hero of Armenia and Artsakh, Karabakh war veteran Monte Melkonian addressed an open letter to President Serzh Sargsyan with a request to set Yenikomshian free.
