Russian frontier troops not going to quit Armenia
"The presence of the Russian frontier troops in Armenia is out of question, said lieutenant general Sergey Bondarev, the commander of the frontier department of the RF Federal Security Service in Armenia. The Russian frontier troops are stabilizing the atmosphere at the Armenian-Turkish border, according to him.

"During 15 years Russian frontier guards ensure security of Armenia's 335-km border with Turkey. Some 100 trespassers were detained in the initial quarter of the current year. Over 450 were detained in 2006," he said.

He also said Russian frontier guards have established contacts with Turkish troops and this cooperation allowed to reduce the number of incidents and border violations, Gazeta.ru reports.
