According to the source, in the women's Group B, Poghosyan snatched 92kg, followed by 97kg, but failed to hold 100kg overhead. In the clean and jerk, the Armenian weightlifter lifted 115kg, followed by 122kg and 126kg. With a total of 223kg, she took the third place. Sona Poghosyan is content with her result at the Olympic Games but she has felt tense. “I was a little tense and because of it I lost the third attempt of the snatch – 100kg. I was more confident during the clean and jerk. I had lifted 125kg during trainings and I had confidence. I am happy and I gained confidence participating in the Adults' Olympics. At the European Championship I had managed to snatch 102kg and lift 125kg in the clean and jerk,” Poghosyan stressed.
