Key element of Karabakh treaty is its status, all others are minor questions

PanARMENIAN.Net - "We must have clear notion about the attitude towards the status of Nagorno Karabakh. It's the key element of treaty, all others are minor questions, the calendar plan of transformations may look differently," Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian stated at the interview to Austrian newspaper Der Standart.

He said, all people who lived in the Nagorno Karabakh before the war will have the right to vote. The minister underlined, the question is if those eligible must return to Karabakh on the referendum day, and this question is among those, which can be viewed later.

Vartan Oskanian underscored, nobody benefits of the suspended situation of this conflict from the domestic political viewpoint. Neither the President, nor Prime Minister. "Nobody benefits of this unsettled conflict. We want it to be solved as soon as possible, but we want a fair solution, which will satisfy the Nagorno Karabakh people," the RA FM stated.
