Christian Benteke leaves Liverpool for record sum

PanARMENIAN.Net - Christian Benteke has ended his disappointing spell at Liverpool by signing for rival Premier League club Crystal Palace, the Daily Progress reports.

The Belgium striker moved to Liverpool from Aston Villa for 32 million pounds (then $50 million) in July last year, but was never a regular and scored 10 goals in 42 appearances.

Palace said Saturday, August 20 that Benteke signed a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee. British media reported the fee was 27 million pounds, which would be a club record for the south London club.
