Yerevan hosting 18th Annual Global Child Nutrition ForumSeptember 6, 2016 - 11:11 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is hosting the 18th Annual Global Child Nutrition Forum that kicked off Monday, September 5 and will run through September 9 in Yerevan. Delegations from over 6 dozen countries have arrived in Armenia to take part in the event. President Serzh Sargsyan met the Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Ertharin Cousin and other participants of the forum on Monday. Sargsyan hailed the cooperation between the Armenian government and the WFP and the jointly-implemented project Sustainable School Feeding which provides school meals to some 83.000 children across Armenia’s 10 provinces. The President confirmed that the project will further be implemented in Armenia. Also, Sargsyan was briefed on the activities and similar projects carried out in countries that the participants of the forum represent.
