Die Antwoord angrily deny split reportsSeptember 12, 2016 - 16:03 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Die Antwoord have denied reports that they’re splitting up, saying that their words were taken out of context in an interview, NME said. In an interview with Exclaim, rapper Ninja implied the trio would split in September 2017. Ninja was quoted as saying: “It’s all over. I feel beautiful about it. I’m not scared of the end. I’m a ninja, I’m not scared of death.” But fellow rapper Yolandi Visser said that Exclaim had taken Ninja’s words out of context and that the band had no plans to split, although she implied Die Antwoord’s next album would be their last before they began work on a film. Visser wrote on Instagram: “The journalist who wrote an article stating that we’re breaking up totally twisted our words and took what we said completely out of context. This is a lie.” In a post headlined “Die Antwoord is not breaking up”, Visser continued: “All we said was, next year we’ll be working on our fifth final DA album and then continue to shoot a DA feature film. DA for eva.” Die Antwoord’s new album, ‘Mount Ninji And Da Nice Time Kid’, is out on Friday (September 16). It’s a mixtape featuring contributions from DJ Muggs of Cypress Hill and The Black Goat.
