Combined Endeavor 2007 goals achieved

PanARMENIAN.Net - The main goals of the Combined Endeavor 2007 exercise have been already achieved, head of the department of communications and computer-aided system of the RA armed forces, major general Armen Baburyan told reporters in Yerevan.



"The Armenian signalers have passed 41 tests in Germany and 14 in Armenia. I am hopeful the achievements will be equally efficient in both states." Baburyan said.



For his part, Brigadier General Dennis L. Via, Commanding General, 5th Signal Command said Armenian military are capable to take action in hard conditions and easily master new equipment. "Armenian signalers work in accord with Combined Endeavor 2007 norms set by the U.S. European Command," he said.



According to lieutenant of the Croatian communication troops Davor Gadamak, the maneuvers are held coherently and at a high level. "We are equipped with modern communication devices. Our task is to secure undisturbed communication with signalers in Germany where the main exercise is conducted. We are honing skills in using unified strategic and tactical systems," he told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.



Combined Endeavor 2007 is held in the framework of Partnership for Peace NATO program in Germany and Armenia. 130 signalers from Croatia, France, Russia, Georgia and U.S. are taking part in the exercise in Armenia.
