Chris Pine to join Disney’s star-studded “A Wrinkle in Time”October 22, 2016 - 17:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Chris Pine is in talks to join the cast of Disney’s adaptation of “A Wrinkle in Time”, Variety said. He joins newcomer Storm Reid, Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling in the pic. Ava DuVernay is directing. Jennifer Lee, who wrote and co-directed “Frozen” with Chris Buck, is penning the adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle’s book for Disney. The story follows children as they travel through time and visit strange worlds in order to find their missing father, a scientist. Reid will play the oldest daughter among the children. “A Wrinkle in Time” is the first book in L’Engle’s “Time Quintet” series, which includes “A Wind in the Door,” “Many Waters,” “A Swiftly Tilting Planet,” and “An Acceptable Time.” Pine was most recently seen in “Star Trek Beyond” as well as CBS Films’ “Hell or High Water” which earned him some of the best reviews of his career. He can be seen next in Warner Bros. “Wonder Woman” as Steve Trevor and also is expected to reprise his role of Capt. Kirk in the fourth installment in the “Star Trek” franchise.
