Radiohead unveil further European festival dates for 2017

PanARMENIAN.Net - Radiohead have announced further European festival dates for 2017, NME reports.

The Oxford five-piece were last week revealed as the Friday night headliners on the Pyramid Stage at next year’s Glastonbury, signalling that the band are set to embark on the festival circuit in 2017. A further headlining slot at Poland’s Open’er Festival has also been confirmed.

Radiohead have added further dates to their 2017 diary this week, with the announcement of a number of festival show across Europe next summer. As Stereogum reports, the band are now confirmed to be playing at four further European festival next year, the dates of which you can see below.

June 11 – Northside Festival, Denmark

June 18 – Best Kept Secret Festival, Holland

June 30 – Rock Werchter, Belgium

July 2 – Main Square Festival, France

In addition to these festival dates, Radiohead guitarist Johnny Greenwood is also set to head out on a solo tour, while rhythm guitarist Ed O’Brien will release his debut solo album in 2017.

“We’ve attempted to do something like a full solo album — you know, stand there on the mountaintop with the hair going and the Les Paul and create a whole Ed O’Brien,” he said. “I haven’t up until two years ago but I am going to now. I’m gonna do one next year.”
