Karabakh: Every meeting between Armenia and Azeri presidents is one more step towards reaching progress
Every meeting between presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan is one more step towards reaching progress in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian stated in Yerevan to a joint press conference with his Spanish counterpart Miguel Angel Moratinos. He said, after the meeting between FMs of the two countries a basis is worked out for adopting a decision by presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

"We hope that a progress will be fixed during the negotiations, which will allow to reach peace more quickly. However, the progress may be reached only in case of mutual agreement," Oskanian said.

In his part Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos underscored that the final decision on the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict may be reached only on the level of presidents. "Any meeting between the presidents gives rise to hopes for settlement. If such meetings are held, it means that there exist bases for talks," Moratinos underlined.
