Spain plans to open its embassy in Armenian capital in 2008June 5, 2007 - 18:39 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Today Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian hosted OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos. During the meeting the two discussed issues concerning the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, development of Armenia-OSCE relations, as well as issues concerning Armenian-Spanish bilateral relations. The sides underlined the importance of opening embassies in Armenian and Spanish capitals, which will contribute to deepening bilateral cooperation. Miguel Angel Moratinos underlined that Spain plans to open its embassy in Yerevan in 2008. In response Vartan Oskanian stated that Armenia too is going to demonstrate similar initiative in the near future. The sides agreed to pay a special attention to cooperation in political, economic and cultural spheres. At the end of the meeting Miguel Angel Moratinos invited Vartan Oskanian to pay an official visit to Spain, RA MFA Press Office reports.
