Army refutes Azeri claims: Karabakh never targets civilian settlements

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Nagorno Karabakh Defense Army on Thursday, November 3 refuted Azerbaijani media reports, suggesting that the Armenian troops targeted civilian settlement the day before.

In a statement, the Karabakh army accused Baku of disseminating disinformation, seeking to mislead the international community and its own society.

Azerbaijani sources, in particular, reported on Wednesday that shells allegedly fired from Karabakh posts landed in villages in Aghdam rayon.

Karabakh declared that the information is completely false, adding that its forces strictly follow their commitments and never target civilian settlements.

Around 30 ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani army were registered along the contact line with Nagorno Karabakh overnight on November 2-3.

Azeri troops used various caliber firearms to fire some 370 shots towards the Armenian positions. Besides, they employed a grenade launcher and a 60-mm mortar north of the contact line.
