Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds share new music vid for “Magneto” (video) November 8, 2016 - 14:11 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have shared a new music video for ‘Magneto’ from their recent album ‘Skeleton Tree’, NME reports. The clip is taken from Andrew Dominick’s accompanying film One More Time With Feeling, a documentary film about the recording process and the death of Cave’s son, Arthur. Like his previous music videos for ‘Jesus Alone’, ‘I Need You’, and ‘Girl in Amber’, the ‘Magneto’ video depicts Cave performing the song in a studio. Cave and co have not played live since Arthur’s death, but the band recently confirmed a tour of Australia and New Zealand for January of next year. They will then play North American dates during May and June. Australia and New Zealand shows include dates in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Wellington, Auckland, among other cities. North American dates include shows in New York, Los Angeles, Montreal, Philadelphia and other major cities. Arthur Cave tragically died after falling from a cliff in Brighton last July. The Cave family described the 15-year-old as “our beautiful, happy loving boy.” Director Andrew Dominik said that the idea for the doc came about after Cave “realised he was going to have to promote the record.” “Arthur had died halfway through making it. And the idea of [promoting] it made him feel sick, because he was going to have to discuss the context of the record with a whole bunch of journalists,” said Dominik. “That prospect was very alarming to him. His instinct in making the film was one of self-preservation: it was a way to talk about what happened, but there was a certain safety in doing it with someone he knew.” One More Time With Feeling will be back in cinemas from December 1, and there will also be opportunities to crowd-source additional screenings. Tickets are on sale now and more information is available from Cave’s official website.
