Levon Aronian to participate in World Chess Championship Mexico 2007
Armenian grand master Levon Aronian has won the right to participate in the World Chess Championship Mexico 2007. On Tuesday, Aronian played with Alexey Shirov to a draw, gaining a point with 3,5:2,5 score.

Peter Leko (Hungary), Boris Gelfand (Israel), who beat Yevgeny Bareyev (Russia) and Gata Kasmky with 3,5:1,5 won a ticket to Mexico as well.

8 grand masters will take part in the Championship. The names of four of them are already known. These are Vladimir Kramnik (Russia), Peter Svidler (Russia), Alexander Morozevish (Russia) and Viswanathan Anand (India), chess-portal.net reports.
