NATO hails Armenia role in peacekeeping missions

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan on Friday, November 18 met with NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Emerging Security Challenges Jamie Shea.

At the meeting, the two discussed prospects of Armenia-NATO cooperation, with Shea hailing Armenia’s involvement in the alliance-led peacekeeping missions both in Afghanistan and Kosovo.

Also, the sides stressed the efficiency of cooperation in the sphere of reforms, education and military training and the importance of NATO consultations.

In addition, Sargsyan and Shea weighed in on a further dialogue to develop a new action program as part of the individual partnership plan.
