Dylan O'Brien spotted filming “American Assassin” bestseller

PanARMENIAN.Net - Dylan O'Brien was spotted filming "American Assassin" in Rome, Italy. The 25-year-old actor was pictured on the set for the first time on Wednesday, November 23 after he fully recovered from the injuries he got while filming "The Maze Runner: The Death Cure" back in March, AceShowbiz said.

O'Brien sported an all-black outfit, with cuts and bruises on his face. In several images obtained by Just Jared Jr., the Mitch Rapp depicter was seen interacting with other crew members and getting some instructions from director Michael Custa. He was joined by co-star Shiva Negar to film a scene inside a car.

"American Assassin" is set to arrive in U.S. theaters sometime in 2017. Custa directs the movie from a script which is provided by Stephen Schiff and is based on Vince Flynn's best-selling novel of the same name. The action movie also stars Michael Keaton, Sanaa Lathan and Taylor Kitsch, whose character is described as "simultaneously brutal, charming and terrifying."

The movie follows Mitch Rapp who is a gifted college scholar/athlete long before he begins hunting terrorists. A tragedy struck and he is recruited into the nation's most elite covert operations program. After completing training designs to teach the kind of lethal skills necessary to target the most dangerous enemies, here and abroad, he is a man reborn with a mission of retribution.
