“You + Me = Everything” in development with “Twilight” producers

PanARMENIAN.Net - Lionsgate has launched development of a movie based on the upcoming novel “You + Me = Everything” and set up the project with “Twilight” producers Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen, Variety said.

“You + Me” has been written by Liverpool-based Jane Costello, a journalist-turned-author with nine published novels. She is using the pen name Catherine Isaac for her new book, which centers on a single mother who throws out her boyfriend only months after giving birth to their son. Ten years later, she decides to journey with the son to France, where the boy’s father now lives, in order to make the father fall in love with his own son.

Godfrey and Bowen are producing “You + Me” through their Temple Hill company, which has also produced the “Maze Runner” franchise, “The Fault in Our Stars” and the upcoming “Power Rangers.” Temple Hill exec John Fischer brought in the project and Jeyun Munford bought it for Lionsgate.

Penguin is publishing “You + Me” in the U.S. in January, 2018. Simon & Schuster is the U.K. publisher.

Costello’s credits include “Bridesmaids,” “The Wish List,” “The Time of Our Lives” and “Summer Nights at the Moonlight Hotel.” She won the Romantic Novelists’ Association Romantic Comedy Award in 2010 for “The Nearly Weds.”

Before she became an author, Costello worked for the Liverpool Echo, the Daily Mail and the Liverpool Daily Post.

The deal with Lionsgate was made by Luke Speed on behalf of Sheila Crowley and Rebecca Ritchie at Curtis Brown. Publishers Weekly first reported the news.
