The Banker names Ameriabank the best in Armenia in 2016December 9, 2016 - 18:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Banker, an influential magazine owned by the Financial Times, has recognized Ameriabank CJSC as the best Armenian bank in 2016. The bank received the award for the second year in a row, having been honored with the recognition in 2010 and 2013. Ameriabank has also been recognized as Best Bank of the Year in Armenia by such magazines as the Global Finance and Euromoney, the bank said Friday, December 9. At the award ceremony in London, it was mentioned that the bank was named the best for its financial results, effective activity and the strategic approach, given the economic and competitive factors. One of the main criteria was the bank’s focus on its clients, its balanced risk management, remote banking services and the quality of the services provided, as well as the introduction of a new remote banking service, BankWorld, (omnichannel banking platform) together with CR2 Company. The Banker award covers all the banks which were able to articulate the strategy that drove their financial performance and the way they overcame regulatory, competitive and economic hurdles. This year, the awards encompassed 149 countries. Ameriabank is a universal bank providing investment, corporate and retail banking services in a comprehensive package of banking solutions. It is the first investment bank in Armenia, which has been providing a wide range of innovative banking services since 2008.
