PanARMENIAN.Net - A series of stills from "Blade Runner 2049" is unleashed on Entertainment Weekly following the release of the film's teaser, AceShowbiz said. One of the pictures offers a glimpse at Joi, the character played by "War Dogs" actress Ana de Armas. She is riding shotgun in a car driven by Ryan Gosling's LAPD Officer K.

"Blade Runner 2049" is set thirty years after the events of 1982's "Blade Runner". It follows K, a new blade runner who unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what's left of society into chaos. His discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard, a former L.A.P.D. blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

Directed by Denis Villeneuve ("Arrival"), the sci-fi thriller is set for an October 6, 2017 release in theaters across the U.S. Harrison Ford returns as Deckard. It's also supported by the likes of Jared Leto, Mackenzie Davis, Robin Wright and Dave Bautista.

The movie is aiming for R-rating. "My producers are finding it fun to remind me that it will be one of the most expensive R-rated independent feature films ever made," Villeneuve recently told ScreenDaily.
