Michael Winterbottom’s “On the Road” to open Berlinale teen movie section

PanARMENIAN.Net - Michael Winterbottom’s music documentary “On the Road” will open 14plus, part of the 40th edition of the Berlinale’s Generation program, which is devoted to movies for young people, Variety said.

Fifteen feature films have been selected so far for Generation, divided between Kplus, the children’s films section, and 14plus, which are movies for teenagers.

“Exhibiting an impressive range of cinematic approaches, these productions tell the stories of young people on inner and outer journeys and capture a sense of longing for new and altered horizons,” according to a statement.

The complete Generation program of around 30 feature films will be revealed in mid-January. The Berlin International Film Festival runs Feb. 9-19.
